Intuition

August 3, 2009

If one follows his own guidance system which he believes is either true or false, one can achieve many great things.

But remember the earth on which you stand on and think right, for that is the ultimate harmony with the elements.

Don’t damage yourself nor others around you. Start with this one.

Never forget, to give. :)

Yet then there is photography, a method of escape, enjoyment and fulfillment.

So I have been active on the field again.
Went to a concert for solidarity (belgavox) between people with my girlfriend, took some really great shots with my tele.
Also travelling back into town and around.

Here are some pictures I made the past weeks, I hope you enjoy them.
They are there for you, to remind us of the beauty, grace, elegance, complexity, harmony of our world and beyond.

Alteration to perception

January 8, 2009

Another coincidence happened..
Now in the form of a movie I bought and saw yesterday..
It is called “The Celestine Prophecy”; based on a book by James Redfield.
I found it very inspiring, interesting and an alteration to my self awareness.
Note that this is just a summary of the theory, it is advised to read a detailed description of each insight.

Nine Insights

  • The First Insight… A Critical Mass

A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture; an awakening brought about by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding, a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidences.

  • The Second Insight… The Longer Now

This awakening represents the creation of a new, more complete worldview, which replaces a five-hundred-year-old preoccupation with secular survival and comfort. While this technological preoccupation was an important step, our awakening to life’s coincidences is opening us up to the real purpose of human life on this planet, and the real nature of our Universe.

  • The Third Insight… A Matter of Energy

We now experience that we live not in a material Universe, but in a Universe of dynamic energy. Everything extant is a field of sacred energy that we can sense and intuit. Moreover, we humans can project our energy by focusing our attention in the desired direction, in that where attention goes, energy flows, influencing other energy systems and increasing the pace of coincidences in our lives. It is possible to see this energy enveloping all living things.

  • The Fourth Insight… The Struggle For Power

To gain energy, we tend to manipulate or force others to give us attention and thus energy. When we successfully dominate others in this way, we feel more powerful, but they are left weakened and often fight back. Competition for scarce human energy is the cause of all conflict between people.

  • The Fifth Insight… The Message of the Mystics

Insecurity and violence ends when we experience an inner connection with divine energy within, a connection described by mystics of all traditions. A sense of lightness or buoyancy along with the constant sensation of love are measures of this connection. If these measures are present, the connection is real; if not, it is only pretended.

  • The Sixth Insight… Clearing the Past

The more we stay connected, the more we are acutely aware of those times when we lose connection, usually when we are under stress. In these times, we can see our own particular way of stealing energy from others. Once our manipulations are brought to personal awareness, our connection becomes more constant and we can discover our own evolutionary path in life, and our spiritual mission, which is the personal way we can contribute to the World.

Here the four main “control dramas”—the Interrogator, the Intimidator, the Aloof and the Poor Me—are discussed. Each person unconsciously prefers one of these four to suck energy out of others (as described in the Fourth Insight). A way of getting these under control is disclosed.

  • The Seventh Insight… Engaging the Flow

Knowing our personal mission further enhances the flow of mysterious coincidences as we are guided toward our destinies. First we have a question; then dreams, daydreams, and intuitions lead us towards the answers, which usually are synchronistically provided by the wisdom of another human being.

  • The Eighth Insight… The Interpersonal Ethic

We can increase the frequency of guiding coincidences by uplifting every person that comes into our lives. Care must be taken not to lose our inner connection when we have become part of romantic relationships. Uplifting others is especially effective in groups wherein each member can feel energy of all the others. With children it is extremely important for their early security and growth. By seeing the beauty in every face, we lift others into their wisest self, and increase the chances of hearing a synchronistic message.

  • The Ninth Insight… The Emerging Culture

As we all evolve toward the best completion of our spiritual missions, the technological means of survival will be fully automated as humans focus instead on synchronistic growth. Such growth will move humans into higher energy states, ultimately transforming our bodies into spiritual form and uniting this dimension of existence with the after-life dimension, ending the cycle of birth and death.

There is a spirit around us, it guides us, it drives us.
It forms coincidences. Some call it destiny, others just call it a coincidence.
But was it a coincidence that the universe created us ? All these little things that came together out of nowhere, out of nothing and suddenly we came to life with a bang.

We shall also go out with a bang, not only our sun or the earth, or the universe itself. But also when we, us humans die, we die with a bang, leaving things behind that needed us to sustain themselves. You think that tree in your backyard will live with or without you ? Of course it will, but you would have nurtured it, taken care of it, provided a cure when illness came.

I sense this spirit, sometimes so strong, other times so minimal. I believe that my best photographs have been made when I felt it all around me. When the elements came together, fell into place, like it just made sense. It’s intuition, feelings, sensing. Or is it something else, is it this intertwined bond all things in the universe have in common and feel?

Just another reason to continue living for me, if not the reason for me to be here is to feel the spirit.
I can’t say if it’s a spirit or not, who knows. It might just be some energy fields we are percieving.
But it is there, it makes sure we are satisfied, happy. Our actions influencing it. Turning it around for good or bad. Some say it’s karma, some say it’s the force. Do we really want to know ? Let’s just enjoy it being here, enlightening us with it’s power. Thank you!

The human potential

December 29, 2008

First of all, I would like to wish everyone happy holidays.
May you be reunited with your families and enjoy the time with your loved ones.
Now for me it’s three weeks christmas vacation, mainly to study for the upcoming exams.
I’ve been told when we are studying, we are also up against many questions.
About the past, the future and what to do with the present time. Will I study or will I make sure my family has got gifts for the holidays?

Not only those questions, but also to re-evaluate our goals, dreams and our purpose for being.
One question that arises from time to time, is about the human potential.

You know, everyone has got it, but it seems that it’s not always there.  Shrouded under a heavy fog of some sort.
One day we can make the most wonderful things, say the most funny things, and be totally aware of our surroundings and of self.
But why is it that some days we seem clueless, walking around with our head in the dirt ? Like we are unable to communicate with
our own potential.

I ask myself the reason behind this. Is it the food we eat, the drinks we drink?
Or is it something else, that unlocks our true self ? Peace of mind and happiness ? A total state of calmness ?
What triggers our potential? And what seems to diminish it or hide it ?

A day out

Remember those trips for a day you make with school ?
Well here is the photography version of it.
Imagine waking up with a lens in front of you :)

The mind makes perfect art

December 16, 2008

Hallo, hello.

We think image, we speak it, we dream it.
It’s in our power to translate that image into something productive.
That’s where photography comes in, trying to get that image out of our heads.

Percieving is feeling isn’t it ? We are driven by emotion.
It drives us to create these scenes or moods.
It’s also the first problem a person encounters when starting photographing,
We see what we think, we think what we see. but others do not.
So we have to make it pretty obvious about what we want to portray.

About

December 16, 2008

oog

I’m mostly writing this blog to talk about my photographic adventures. Since a few month’s I’m an official student of a photography school. Everything is going fine, I hope. It started a long time ago actually, this passion of mine. Some things happened that have made that passion give shape to what I’m doing now. Mainly my interest in the simpler things in life, staring with awe at their beauty.

I went to a technical school, doing 2 years of multimedia studies where I learned to use color and design elements to create things like websites, flash animations, video’s It was really a great experience. I wanted to continue, but I needed something else. I needed to be free again, to discover the world. Like sitting on a little hut watching the sunset.
